If you're about to order a Fypon ceiling medallion or a set of Fypon brackets, here's the answer you need first: the product is not the risk. The surface behind it is. Use a 100% acrylic latex exterior paint. Don't use dark gloss colors in direct sun on a wall that has no air gap behind it. If you're working on a coastal project with high wind loads, follow the engineer's details, not my general list. If the entry has a black front door with south sun exposure, think about heat gain on the door itself and on any dark-painted trim.
